INSIDEOUT DÉCOR

If you are going to spend eight hours a day in your garden office it is important that it is finished in your own personal style.

Decorating Garden Offices Internally.

Inside your InsideOut garden office or external room you will find traditionally plastered walls. A properly plastered room gives the best wall finish. We also offer dry-lining as an alternative.

Leave the heater on low and a window ajar and the plaster in your office will be dry and ready to paint within a few days.

We suggest that you use a low toxicity water based emulsion paint such as Farrow and Ball's Estate Emulsion or an organic paint from Ecos. see http://www.ecospaints.com/

Because of the housing quality construction of your garden office it is possible to attach pictures, shelves and other fittings to the walls. We will explain to you how to do this.

The External Finish.

Larch can be left to weather naturally, but if you would prefer your garden office to retain a golden 'new wood' look or a dark oak finish, you can stain it with wood stains. This should be done in dry conditions, in summer when the wood has contracted to it's smallest size. Wood expands and contracts with the seasons and the air humidy.

For a cheerful, urban finish, larch also takes brightly coloured stains very well.
