Environmentally considerate - We know our clients care about their surroundings. Our building materials are selected to avoid chemicals and plastics to provide a natural building that respects the environment.
Permanent - InsideOut buildings are tiny timber-frame houses - clad in larch rather than brick or stone.
Add an extra room - w.c., shower, kitchen or garden store.
Built and insulated to new house standards - We use double layers of eco-friendly insulation materials so that minimal heat is needed to keep warm in winter and papers and books will not get damp.
No air conditioning needed in summer - our buildings are designed to breathe. The high levels of "breathing" insulation provide a unique, condensation free atmosphere that is comfortable and stable, all year round.
Generously proportioned, with high ceilings and 214mm thick walls, so that you have room to move, expand and store.
Strong floors - strong enough for you to invite friends around to jump up and down on. No flex.
Strong walls and ceiling - fasten bookcases to walls, hang heavy items from the ceiling or fit windows in the roof – our buildings are built to cope with real life.
Carefully selected building materials are combined with intelligent design:
- Plastered walls on the inside - for a smooth painted finish
- Heartwood larch cladding - traditionally used for boat building
- Hand-made, wooden double-glazed doors and windows - complete with a ten year guarantee
- Cedar roof tiles - storm proof - wind proof - and smell wonderful!

Conservation Area, AONB, grounds of a listed building - we've obtained planning permission in all these situations.
We provide all the drawings and documentation and make the planning application for you.
