A granny annex is a real building that must be built to national Building Regulation standards, so a semi-insulated shed or cedar clad box just isn't going to do the job.

Safe as houses. All our buildings, from the smallest garden office to the grandest granny flat are built to building regulation standards. This means that your relative will be living in comfort a small, comfortable garden annex, giving all members of the family peace of mind and privacy.

Planning permission. If your relative is going to live in the annex all of the time it is essential that you discuss this with your local planning department as attitudes to granny annexes vary around the UK.

How Much Will a Granny Annexe Cost? A two roomed InsideOut building with a shower room and kitchen area is the sophisticated, environmentally considerate solution to your family's accomodation needs. It is not a cheap, quick fix. Our buildings are carefully built to last a lifetime and are not cheap log cabins or SIPPS garden buildings.

A 7.2m x 4m Granny annex has a guide price of £46,192 inc. vat not including foundations or plumbing.

A 10m X 3.45m annex starts at £58,968.00inc vat. In addition to the main structure you will need a budget for plumbing, foundations and taking water and main drains the the building. A realistic budget covering these items is £7,000 to £10,000 + VAT.
