to my property?
Estate agents that we have talked
to consider that if your office is well designed

will add as much value as a single storey extension.

2. From a choice of possible home
improvements would it be better to have a loft conversion
than a garden office?
Obviously this is a personal choice,
but here are some points to consider: -
The disruption caused by building
a loft conversion. Often ceilings have to be taken
and down and replaced, filling your house with dust
and dirt that has accumulated under the floor boards.
Can you successfully get away from
your family and separate your work from your home
life, if your office is just up another flight of
stairs?
3. Can I take my garden Office
with me when I move?
Theoretically InsideOut offices can
be craned onto the back of a wagon and other makes
of office can be dismantled, but consider the following:
-
How will the estate agent value your
property when you come to move if you decide to
take one of your main home improvements with you?
How will you explain to potential
purchasers that you want the asking price for your
property, but no, the garden office isn't part of
the deal?
Will prospective purchasers really
want an empty set of foundations and an electrical
connection in the middle of their new garden?
Will you really want to find a joiner
to take the building down, pay for transport, take
responsibility for any damage in transit and then
pay him to put it together again?
Will your garden office requirements
be the same when you move as they are now?
Would you take other home improvements
such as your garage or your greenhouse with you
when you moved?
4. What does 'fully insulated'
mean?
At InsideOut Buildings 'fully insulated'
means that your garden office is insulated to current
Building Regulation Standards for new homes and
public buildings. This level of insulation is not
a legal requirement for garden offices. This means
that a garden office manufacturer could claim that
their offices are insulated to 'required' Building
Regulation standards but put in a minimal amount
of insulation or even none at all. The key question
to ask is: - " Will my garden office be insulated
to current Building Regulation Standards for
new homes and public buildings?"
