OfficePlus Office specification. Please read the following specification, so that you understand the difference between InsideOut Building's timber-frame design and construction methods and those of pine or cedar cabin importers and manufacturers.

OUTSIDE

• Architect designed, timber-framed housing-standard construction. We are able to build on two storeys. Properly insulated to 2002 Building Regulation Standards. All your specific building requirements are designed and overseen by our company architect.
• Your building is built on simple concrete foundation pads and stands approx 40cm above ground level. This allows air to circulate underneath the building. This type of foundation is quicker and hence cheaper to install than a conventional  strip foundation. However, we can design and supply  traditionally founded buildings if more appropriate for your project.
• Your building is delivered in panels. It is then constructed, clad and roofed by our time-served craftsmen. Installation time depends upon the model, specification, weather and site conditions.
• Clad with 6" x1" natural larch heartwood from managed forests. Larch has exceptional levels of natural resins and does not require any chemical treatment - expected lifespan is up to 50 years.
• Roofed with Blue Label cedar shingle tiles - guaranteed for 35 years, or Onduline bitumen sheeting -life expectancy 15 years                                       
• Exterior light.
• External step.

  WINDOWS AND DOORS

• Window frames and doors are fully finished with water-based stain, made from redwood and manufactured in the UK by British Woodworking Federation member.
• Low-E double-glazed windows with lockable stays.
• Low- E double-glazed French door with espagnolette three-point locking.
• Plastic guttering to either soakaway or water butt.

  INSIDE

• Completely insulated to 2002 Building Regulation standards for new homes. The building is externally wrapped with an insulating vapour membrane then insulated with either Thermafleece or Rockwool insulation, using 8" of insulation in the floor and ceiling and 4" in the walls.
• Thermafleece combines natural fibre insulation with a permeable vapour membrane to ensure that natural moisture migrates out of the office and disperses into the atmosphere. Rockwool is a conventional insulation material that requires more energy to produce than Thermafleece and uses an impermiable vapour barrier.
• The floor finish is plywood, an excellent base for carpeting or wooden flooring.
• The interior walls are plaster boarded and skimmed for you to decorate to your own requirements. Dry lining is available as an alternative finish.
