PLANNING PERMISSION ISN'T COMPLICATED

Planning permission is usually not necessary for  InsideOut garden offices or external rooms.

If you do need planning permission for your garden office and you choose to use our free planning service we take the weight off your shoulders, but keep you up to date with the progress of your application. We have many years experience of liasing with planning departments and can save your time by doing this on your behalf. All you have to do is provide us with a cheque made payable to your local authority when we submit your application.

Current planning legislation is in favour of people working from home, to reduce traffic congestion and to encourage employment and diversity within the community.

INSTALLING YOUR OFFICE FOUNDATIONS WITH OUR HELP

Snug and Retreat garden offices stand on four concrete foundation pads, topped with a concrete paving flag. The larger Studio garden office stands on six pads.

The simplest and cheapest way to install foundations for your home office is to employ a local builder. You may already know one, but if not we have our own unique FIND A BUILDER SERVICE to help you locate reputable trades people in your area. We will then liase with your builder, providing complete technical drawings and information so that he can install the foundations.

ELECTRICITY AND TELEPHONE LIAISON

The electricity for garden offices can be taken by cable from your house. We strongly advise that a qualified electrician does this work for you and we can help you appoint one using our FIND A BUILDER SERVICE (and electricians.) We will then work with your electrician to ensure that he understands everything about the supply to your garden office. 

Telephone can be taken to your building by land line or by digital or radio phone. A land line gives the best reception.
