If you want to landscape your garden and add area of decking, it is best to design and plan this once your building is in situ. This way you can work with the reality of the building rather than having to imagine the total look. If your office has a floor area of more than 15sq metres and you want to position it witih a metre from any boundary, the building will require a building regulations application. All garden offices and annexes with a floor space of more than 30 sq metres need a building regulations application, wherever they are positioned.
