SPECIFICATION - Architect designed,
timber-frame, housing-standard
construction, strong enough to build a two storey
garden office if required.
Your building is individually manufactured to
order in the UK. It is delivered to your garden
as timber frame panels [made to National House
Building Certificate standards],
then hand built, clad, roofed and insulated by our craftsmen.
Installation time
depends upon weather and site conditions.
- Completely insulated to the latest
government Building Regulations Standards for
new homes and public buildings. This
means your office is better insulated than most
UK houses. There is no Building Regulation
standard for garden offices. We have chosen to
match housing standards to provide you with the
best possible environment.
Insulation

- All garden offices incorporate 'Breathing Technology'. Find
out about 'Breathing Technology'.
- Your garden office building is built on concrete foundation
pads. This type of foundation is quicker to
install and cheaper than a traditional strip
foundation. Because our garden offices are
substantial, permanent buildings they are
properly founded and are not suitable for
positioning on a paving flag base. In some cases
a good quality existing concrete base may be
able to be used.
- All our garden offices are clad with untreated
heartwood larch from either Scotland or
Northumberland.
Larch has a life expectancy of up to 50 years
and does not require any maintenance.
- The roof contains 200mm of insulation and is
tiled with Blue Label heartwood cedar shingle tiles. Cedar
shingles are particularly resistant to high
winds and hail and have a life expectancy of 35+
years
- All garden offices have plastic guttering on larch heartwood fascia
boards to soakaway or water butt.
- Exterior light.
External step. [Access ramps are also
available for all our garden offices].
- Low-E double-glazed windows with lockable stays.
Fully finished with water-based stain.
- Double Glazed French door with multi-point
espagnolette locking system. Fully finished with
water-based stain.
- The panel construction floor contains 200mm of
insulation and is finished with plywood, to provide
a solid base for carpeting, tiling or timber
flooring.
- The interior walls [100mm of insulation] and ceilings of your garden
office are fully plastered
for you to decorate to your own style. Visit
