High levels of insulation give you the following
benefits:-
- Warm and dry in winter - no condensation
- Cool in summer
- Sound insulation - you won't be disturbed by the
neighbours, and they won't be disturbed by you when
you play the drums!
InsideOut Buildings are
insulated to the levels required by the latest 2002
government Building Regulations for new houses and public
buildings. This means that your garden office is better insulated than the majority of
homes and public buildings in the UK.
Insulation in a building is measured by the U
Value of the walls, floor and roof. The U Value is a
measure of how much heat passes out of a building.
The lower the U Value, the more heat is kept
in by that wall, floor or roof.
The 2002 Building Regulations require the
following U Values for new houses and public
buildings:-
Walls = 0.35 - achieved in InsideOut
Buildings by using a minimum of 89mm of insulation in
walls.
Roof = 0.2
- achieved
in InsideOut Buildings by using 200mm of insulation
in roof.
Floor = 0.25 - achieved in InsideOut
Buildings by using 175mm of insulation in
floor.
